FREE TIMES AND FUN THINGS TO DO AT THE BUSHVELD SANCTUARY

• Hiking or walking on the 1000HA game farm
• swimming in the 5 dams or the multiple beautiful streams and rock pools
• Relaxing on the verandah with a book, although it is difficult to read when one keeps having to watch the many animals who roam in front of the lodge
• Taking a picnic to the waterberry trees or a stream or next to the lion enclosures
• Watch some TV

NEARBY ACTIVITIES:

• Take a Big 5 Safari on Welgevonden Game reserve across the road from us
• We do trips to Vaalwater where our volunteers help with either the Childrens programme or the Womens' garden initiative.
• Visit the local market
• Shop at the Black Mamba African arts and crafts shop or the Woman's embroidery Project
• Have a meal at Seringa cafe
• Visit the Living Museum
  
• There may be a shopping trip to Thabazimbi, then we can arrange a drive into Marakele National park.
